  1. What does mypump.ca do?  Mypump.ca provides an online network of seasoned talent that can help solve temporary gaps in the modern workplace. Organizations need experienced management support, but not always on a full‑time basis. At the same time, many seasoned professionals are looking for flexible, meaningful work without many of the constraints that come with traditional full-time employment. Mypump.ca helps bring these two realities together.
  2. Is mypump.ca a staffing agency? No, mypump.ca is a network connection platform, it is not a recruiter, employer or staffing agency.  
  3. Does mypump.ca handle payroll or HR administration? No, mypump.ca does not handle payroll, benefits or HR administration. 
  4. Is there a cost to join the platform? There is no cost to use the platform, participate in the network or access online information. The website is public-facing, so spread the word!
  5. What types of professional roles are typically available? Seasoned professionals can take on many different roles that can include operational management, project oversight, process improvement, team leadership, change management and short‑term strategic execution.
  6. How long are the professional engagements?
    Professional work engagements can range from one business day up to six months, depending on the organizational need.
  7. Who sets the terms of the work engagement?
    Work terms are agreed upon directly between the management professional and the sourcing organization before proceeding. The terms must be in the form of a contract, statement of work (SOW) or other agreed written format.
  8. Can professionals decline a work offer? Yes. Management professionals have final decision as to which work offers they want to accept or decline.
  9. How quickly can my organization be matched with a management professional? Most organizations are able to connect with professionals within 24–72 hours, however timing depends on the complexity of the request and if professionals with matching skill sets are ready and available.  Mypump.ca will use best efforts to source professional talent in a timely manner.
  10. Does the sourcing organization need to sign a contract to use mypump.ca? No. There are no contracts with mypump.ca but sourcing fees are invoiced five (5) business days after a management professional begins work with an organization. These fees are paid by the sourcing organization.
  11. Are management professionals vetted for references? Yes. Each professional undergoes an initial screening process with mypump.ca to confirm experience, availability, and readiness for short‑term engagements. It is the responsibility of the sourcing organizations to complete candidate screening, to their corporate standards and satisfaction, before hiring a management professional.
  12. Can I request the same professional again in the future? Yes. You can contact mypump.ca and check to see if your preferred professional is available.
  13. What if the work engagement needs to be extended? Extensions can be arranged directly between the organization and the professional, as long as their is mutual agreement regarding the updated terms of work. Sourcing organizations must notify mypump.ca when they plan to extend the work engagement beyond the original work duration and/or agreed terms.
